It’s been quite a while since Stockhausen’s composition Kurzwellen was recorded and released on disc. Stockhausen himself recorded it in the late 60s, and an LP of this recording was issued on Deutsche Grammophon in 1970. I’m not familiar with any other recordings (if there are any).
Mode Records, a US label for new music, issuing the collected work of John Cage and Feldman among others, has just released a brand new recording by the CLSI Ensemble. This is Mode’s second Stockhausen disc; the last one was the brilliant double disc collecting his work for percussion.
